The Story Of Canal Street Market

Canal Street Market opened in The Village At Winona in Winona Lake, IN on September 13, 2021. The store is owned and operated by Billy and Maria Hutchinson, who also own The Olive Branch just a few doors down.

The Hutchinsons are passionate about bringing small businesses with delicious products to the shelves of Canal Street and are proud to feature products from 43 states (and counting).

Billy and Maria love being able to introduce their customers to new items they may not have been able to find anywhere else, along with regional favorites from across the United States.

Every product at Canal Street Market is purchased from small suppliers and other small businesses, many of them local and based in Indiana.

Staff members are passionate about introducing customers to new products, offering samples, providing recipes, and making sure you find the right specialty food item to fit your recipe and occasion.

It’s so much fun to see a customer come into Canal Street and have their eyes light up when they see a favorite snack or food from their childhood that they never thought they’d be able to try again after moving to Indiana.
